Entertainment is a cultural activity that evolves in response to changes in technology and social trends. It can take many forms: from the individual choosing private entertainment from a huge array of pre-recorded products; to banquets adapted for two; to performances intended for thousands; and it is possible that, while appearing to be pure entertainment, what appears as such may actually be a method of attaining insight or intellectual growth.
