The University of Virginia School of Law recently announced the addition of 34 new faculty members to its ranks. This year, the law school added more than one hundred new students and began a number of new courses. Additionally, the School of Law has a new home.

The university’s new home features brand new classrooms and grand architecture. It is also equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The school is anticipating a May 30 reopening.

In the first week of class, the School of Law welcomed 217 new students. The class is the most academically talented class in school history. Many of these students are from a variety of backgrounds and locations. In fact, this is the fifth straight year that the school has improved its profile.

The School of Law also welcomed a new associate dean for diversity. Jan Baker is the first woman to serve as an associate dean at the university. She will also serve as the school’s Associate Dean for Equity.

The School of Law has also appointed two new associate professors. Assistant Professors Etienne Toussaint and Madalyn Wasilczuk have joined the faculty.

In addition to the appointment of new professors, the University of Virginia School of Law has received a generous gift from the Konduros Fisherman Fund. This donation has increased the school’s resources by more than a million dollars.

The school is also welcoming a new cybersecurity legal task force. The Cybersecurity Legal Institute held its first event in April. The school has also opened a Veterans Legal Clinic. The clinic will provide free legal assistance to veterans and their families. The clinic will also help to improve the outcomes for juveniles facing potential incarceration.

The Law School’s new Children’s Law Training Center will help to improve protections for children in South Carolina. The Center will offer immersive learning simulations. In addition, the center will provide first-class training space.

The Law School is also launching a new program called LawX, which will address access to justice. This program is being sponsored by the American Constitution Society and the LawTech Center. The new mobile law office, Palmetto LEADER, will crisscross the state to help those in need.

In the fall, the School of Law’s Mock Trial and Moot Court teams broke records in competition. Will Dubose won the 2021 King of the Hill Mock Trial Competition. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the law school’s Mock Trial and Moot courts have won this event.

This year, the School of Law celebrated its 150th anniversary. The ceremony included top legal and political officials. The students and faculty were recognized for outstanding achievements in the school’s 2020-2021 academic year. The school’s faculty has been recognized for more than 55 articles published in the top 50 law reviews.

The University of Virginia School of Law is also marking its 150th anniversary. The School of Law has been a vital part of the state’s history for many years, and the school will continue to be a major player in the rule of law in the United States.
